The BlueSkies for Children community is intentionally inclusive of all races, religions, cultures, physical abilities, family configurations and economic status. This community of parents becomes an extended family to each other through the years that they are building their young families, often forming lifelong friendships.
Parents whose children are enrolled in the BlueSkies program benefit from the counseling of the educated, experienced staff regarding their childs development; the parent group also plans a series of lectures and workshops each year. Parent committees in turn support the development of the agency through various fundraising activities, particularly targeted to the support of the need-based Tuition Reduction system. One in five children enrolled in BlueSkies programs pays reduced tuition, based on demonstrated financial need.
The Link to Children (TLC) is a non-profit early intervention mental health service offering on-site family counseling, consultation to teachers, and play therapy to children. TLC focuses on prevention by addressing stress triggers and communication problems in families facing the challenges of the first five years of their childs development.
